"A Strong Way of Living"

Our Vision

To see ethnocultural communities integrated, empowered and thriving in an equitable Canadian society.

Empowering the Next Generation

At deenSTRONG, we are strong believers in the ability of our youth to succeed. Our programming and activities are culturally nuanced and designed to help our youth reach their goals, affect positive change in our society and fulfil their highest potential. See how we’re involved in making a difference in the lives of youth.

Who We Are

Paving the Way to a Brighter Future

Starting off as nothing more than Friday night basketball and a summer camp for Muslim youth, the deenSTRONG Foundation was established in 2009 by Mahdi Qasqas and Mohamed El-Rafih. An organization that aims to support youth, deenSTRONG holds various camps annually, including day camps for young children and leadership programs for teens and young adults. Currently, the deenSTRONG Foundation is raising funds to build a Youth Hub where youth of all backgrounds can hang out, participate in fun development programs and be around positive role models.

Overall, our goal is to advocate for social justice and youth leadership development. We achieve this by providing a safe and supportive environment for our youth to learn new skills, connect with one another and contribute to the betterment of our community.
