5 reasons why spring is beneficial for our mental health!

1. Vitamin D

Most of us already know that the sun is the most natural source of vitamin D.

Nature has gifted us with a reliable source of vitamin D. This vitamin is essential for us to live healthier and longer lives!

2. Spring activities

It makes total sense - if it’s gorgeous outside, we naturally are drawn to be outside and participate in gatherings, BBQs, and events with our friends and family.

The light helps induce positive thoughts and attitudes. The warm weather is much appreciated after a wearying winter, we made it!

3. The blossoming process of nature

Daffodils, lilies, tulips pear trees, peach trees - the list goes on. The sunshine, flowers, and fresh air kindles hope within us. That’s what spring is all about, new beginnings.

When nature is in bloom, it gives us a boost of positive energy - we are highly connected to nature, the seasons have a massive influence on our emotions!

4. No more early sunsets

As Canadians, we experience the sun setting early during the wintertime. That can have a serious impact on our mental health. The lack of light can sometimes be the reason why we feel tired and sad.

Everything is better in the spring - including the sunsets!
